Lake Michigan Kayaking

Lake Michigan Kayaking

This was taken a few years ago when Jenna and I went kayaking from her parents house on Mona Lake. We went through the Mona Lake Channel and out into Lake Michigan. Being out on the Kayak always makes interesting photos. I'm thinking about buying a kayak so I can get out there and take some more interesting pictures.

Sunset Starburst

I love the way the sun starburst highlights the ripples in the calm waters of the Muskegon breakwater. This photo was taken at Pere Marquette Beach in Muskegon, Michigan.

Splash Walk

Take a walk down to the end of the Muskegon pier this time of year and you're almost guaranteed to leave a little wet 😀

Muskegon Meteor Shower with Star Trails

Jenna and I went down to the end up the pier to capture the meteor shower. We were able to get a few over the course of an hour but not as many as they predicted. That long horizontal light is from a boat coming in the channel 🙂

Pere Marquette Snow Fences

This picture of the snow fences was taken down at Pere Marquette Beach in Muskegon, Michigan on November 19th, 2015. You can definitely tell that Winter is on the way. The wind was freezing cold, the sand was blasting my face and making it hard to see. This was one of the first pictures I took when I jumped out of the truck, and it's my favorite photo of the night 🙂

Sunset Paintbrush

Jenna and I went for a nice relaxing sunset walk, although there wasn't really a visible sunset. These clouds looked amazing. You never know what to expect. This picture would look amazing in print, canvas or on a high definition metal print 🙂

Orange Curl

This beautiful orange sunset was captured at Pere Marquette Beach in Muskegon, MI. I got there a few minutes before sunset, so I was only able to take a few pictures before the sun disappeared. I love the curling wave, I think it turned out great! 🙂

Lake Michigan Love

This beautiful and powerful sunset was captured at the Muskegon State Park. Lake Michigan waves were expected to reach 4-6 feet today, so Jenna and I went down to the beach to see what we could capture. We ended up in the water, soaked from head to toe lol. It was a lot of fun and I hope you enjoy this photo as much as I do 🙂

Summertime in Muskegon

We got down to the beach at 8:32, just 6 minutes before the sunset. We parked, jumped out of the truck, grabbed our camera gear from the back and ran down the beach knowing something amazing was about to happen. The sun grew larger as it dipped into the horizon and gave us some beautiful colors.

Summer Breeze

You can almost feel the warm summer breeze blowing through the grass in this dreamy sunset picture. Taken down at Pere Marquette Beach in Muskegon, MI.

Lake Michigan Rage

This has been one of my most popular pictures throughout the years. The bright Summer sun makes the sky glow orange as the aggressive waves rush towards you.

Mackinac Bridge

The Mackinac Bridge unites Michigan's upper and lower peninsulas. It is the longest suspension bridge in the Western Hemisphere with 7,400 feet of roadway suspended in the air over the straits of Mackinac. It is also the fifth longest suspension bridge in the world. Show your Michigan pride by having a piece of this incredible architecture hanging on your wall 😉

Charlevoix Sunset

This Charlevoix Sunset was an amazing thing to experience. After a long day of sightseeing, we relaxed on the beach for a few hours and watched this colorful and dramatic end to an almost perfect day 🙂

Incoming Stormfront

I waited around for 3 hours for this amazing storm to come ashore. The wind was intense and blowing sand in my face, the waves were raging, the temperatures dropped and the rain came down so hard… it hurt. Before I could make it back to my vehicle, hail started coming at me sideways. It was very intense. Order and enjoy this unique and beautiful panoramic print that makes you feel like you're in the photo 🙂

This is available in custom sizes. Please send me a message if you're interested in a regular print, canvas or HD Metal print.

Stormy Shoreline

Storm Clouds begin to break away to give us another amazing sunset at Pere Marquette Beach. The water levels were a little lower when I took this picture and the foreground structures were fun to work with 🙂

Maui Blowhole

Rated 5.00 out of 5

This Maui Blowhole is actually called the Nakalele Blowhole is Northeast Maui. I had to climb down a 1200 foot cliff covered in a mixture of clay and lava rock. These blowholes are produced by large waves rushing through the lava tubes when the tide comes in.

Perseid Meteor Shower

The Perseid meteor shower is the most widely observed and dependable annual meteor display of the year, and its peak being an excellent example of celestial fireworks, weather permitting. This picture was taken over the Muskegon River on 8/12/15 around 1am. I really love the composition with the power lines and the Milky Way to the left. Notice the huge fireball on the horizon 🙂

Pure Muskegon Sunset

Lake Michigan sunsets never disappoint. I was afraid that the clouds were going to block the sun but with a little patience, I was able to capture this amazing light show as the sun dipped below the horizon and set the clouds on fire in this Pure Muskegon Sunset.
